LOVE NOW: NEW bareMinerals Skincare Range
So, for the last few months I’ve been raving on about Aspect skincare for my sensitive, combination, acne-prone (super annoying, forever changing), skin type. Aspect has been a God-send. The results changed my life – literally. My skin went from uneven and flaky with everyday breakouts to hydrated, glowing and little to no breakouts. Last month though, I ran out of my Aspect Vitamin C Brightening Serum – it was a very sad day indeed.
Instead of ordering another bottle of goodness online, I opted to use a serum given to me as a gift at a recent event. Long story short – bad idea, very bad. The serum did not like my skin and in return I did not like it either, not one bit. Within 24 hours, my cheeks were covered in little bite-like blemishes. I’d been here before – it was a reactive breakout. I thought I’d push the boundaries and give it a few more days, to see if my skin would come to terms with the change. My face wasn’t having a bar of it. So this not so inexpensive serum lost its privilege to make home in my very reputable ‘everyday beauty bag’ and was tossed to the back of the second highest shelf in my beauty cupboard. See ya, not gonna miss ya!
Now what to do, what to do? Well, Mecca to the rescue! As my skin recovered from its self-inflicted trauma (which only took two days, thank goodness!), I received a lovely package from Mecca. Ladies, how did you know I loved bareMinerals? *insert Mecca tagged Instagram posts here raving on about bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Gel.* If you’re not familiar with the Complexion Rescue Gel, it’s a lightweight product like a tinted moisturiser… but so much better! It’s perfect for those with sensitive, acne-prone, dehydrated or cosmetically treated skin. It gives your skin a glowing complexion, even on the dullest of Winter days.
So, when I opened up my newly received bareMinerals skincare beauty bag, my eyes were filled with love hearts. With it’s simple black and white packaging with gold detailing, I had no choice but to give my everyday beauty bag an overhaul – Aspect cleanser – out; bareMinerals cleanser, serum and daily moisturiser – in!
